Changing your Fitbit strap for a new one is straightforward — but you need to know which connector system your model uses. Our straps work with the standard Quick Release system used on the Fitbit Versa, Sense, Inspire and Charge series.

In this guide we explain step by step how to change your strap, which models are compatible, and what to look out for before ordering.

Does our strap fit your Fitbit model?

All modern Fitbit devices use the same quick-release mechanism, making it very easy to swap straps. There are however a few exceptions and compatibility differences to be aware of.

  • Fitbit Versa 3, Versa 4, Sense and Sense 2 — use the standard Quick Release system. The Sense 2 and Versa 4 are fully interchangeable, as are the Sense and Versa 3. Our straps are compatible with all these models.
  • Fitbit Inspire and Inspire HR — also use a quick-release lever, but the strap size differs from the Versa/Sense series. Check the size via our size guide.
  • Fitbit Charge 3, 4, 5 and 6 — use a similar system with a click button on the underside of the strap.
  • Fitbit Versa 2 — uses a different attachment system and is not compatible with straps for the Versa 3, Versa 4, Sense or Sense 2.

⚠️ Check carefully which model you have before ordering.

Changing your Fitbit strap: step by step

Our straps work via the standard quick-release system. No tools needed — the swap takes less than a minute.

  • Step 1 — Place your Fitbit face down on a soft, clean surface — for example a microfibre cloth. This prevents scratches.
  • Step 2 — Locate the quick-release lever or button — this is the small pin or button on the inside of the strap, close to where it connects to the watch.
  • Step 3 — Press the lever inward and simultaneously pull the strap gently away from the watch to release it.
  • Step 4 — Press the lever inward and simultaneously pull the strap gently away from the watch to release it.
  • Step 5 — Hold the new strap at a 45° angle and slide the fixed pin of the strap into the notch on one side of the watch.
  • Step 6 — Press the quick-release lever and slide the other end of the strap into place. Release the lever once both ends of the pin are inserted.
  • Step 7 — Repeat steps 5 and 6 for the other half of the strap.
  • Step 8 — Gently tug the strap to confirm it's securely locked. If installed correctly, it will not slide free.

⚠️ Never force the strap into the lug. If it doesn't slide in smoothly, check that you've chosen the correct strap size via our SIZE GUIDE.

Got a wrap strap? Here's how to wear it

Attach your wrap strap the same way using the steps above. Then wrap the cords around your wrist and close it by threading the button through one of the loop holes — just like a regular wrap bracelet.
